Soon enough! I'm heading into the woods very soon, and the Sun/Moon Chap isn't exactly an outdoors knife. ;)

Well, Julia, just in my humble opinion (but also quite extensive experience with this knife) this is one of the biggest misconceptions when it comes to Spydercos:
For me the Chap is probably the best outdoors folder among the very small Spydies (Para 3 / Delica size and smaller), especially as a companion to a bigger (fixed) blade. The thin blade actually can take more than one would think, and makes the Chap an amazing tool for any smaller cutting task, like whittling, making feather sticks, cut mushrooms and smaller food and so on.
And the ergos are great also, as long as one does not work for an overly long period of time

But maybe you are not talking about the blade and ergos, but more of the pretty sun and moon scales, which should not get dirty and damaged in the woods?!

Anyway, have a great time out there! :)

These are the flowers I am looking for when searching for water on otherwise rather dry alpine meadows.
You can see patches of these blue flowers from rather high above when climbing down from the higher, rocky regions, and since these plants grow in more humid places chances are that one can find water there.

And:They do contrast nicely with the burnt orange scales of the Endura... ;)

Arghh, missed out on the DLT PM2, the purple scared me off a little but that looks awesome.

Yes, I definitely meant the pretty scales! I know you carry the lightweight outdoors a lot, and I love having a small slicey knife for mushrooming (although usually a fixed blade so I don't have to open and close my knife a hundred times).

I honestly wasn't sure I'd like the purple/black combo, and I bought it thinking I'd swap scales. But it's really nice in person.

Sadly, my knife time in the woods was short-lived today. My husband and I both found chiggers crawling on us, and that meant immediately going home to scrub our bodies raw. :(

Nice!!! How do you like the Africa Twin? I was looking at them this year but it just wasn't in the books. Maybe next season.
I think it is the bike I always wanted but didn’t know it. It is terrific and a good fit for where I live and how I ride.
Good to hear! I've done a number trips through northern parts of New England on a Sportster and an adventure touring bike has just been calling my name.
If you end up riding through New England’s better half again give me a shout and maybe we can ride together a little. :)

These scales really are amazing. I'm debating on swapping them to the Rex45 Shaman, since I prefer that to Cruwear...but it feels like it would be a sin to do that to this particular sprint!!

Resized_20200819_153851.jpeg
I would do it... Or you could just wait until they release a Rexcarta Shaman. That could be a very long wait though.

Started out with the SpyOpera, made a short lanyard for it using the Manix 2, then switched to the Manix 2. (From the iFone’s perspective the SpyOpera looks bigger than the Manix 2.)
