I hope to hear your thoughts on this knife soon, after you get to use and sharpen it. I think the model and steel choice makes a great combination.

The Mantra along with the angry beaver. Separate pockets, so they don’t fight.

Love that pic! (And would like to try out the knife) :) - do you have such woods and hills nearby Boston (where you live referring to your profile)?
Thanks, Wartstein! I took that photo in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. One of my favorite places for hiking and backpacking. It takes me around two and a half hours to drive here from Boston, Massachusetts. We do have a small reservation with some wooded hills just outside Boston that I visit often to hike.

The White Mountains are really small compared to the mountains you see in Austria or even the mountains we see in the western parts of the United States. For the most part the White Mountains wooded but there are a handful of peaks above tree line in an "alpine zone" and though the mountains are relatively small, weather conditions can still be extreme. There is a weather observatory at the summit of Mt. Washington that recorded the highest wind speed on earth at 231 mph. (372 km/h) Also, Mt. Washington is the highest peak in the northeast United States at 6,288 feet. (1,917 m)

I took this photo of Mt. Washington the same day from about 1000 ft (305 m) above sea level. :)

Thanks for taking the time and explaining and showing your beautiful hiking spot to me! :)

And wooded mountains actually are nice for us knife guys... usually more opportunities to use our Spydies than high above the tree line in rocky terrain... ;)

I didn't know that. Pretty wild - my house is at a considerably higher elevation than that!

I love getting out and hiking mountains covered with trees - there's no better combination for me, though I do love some other environments you can find in the Southwest.

Just finished my 3rd Manix project today & I'm really happy with the results -- so this will probably be my primary EDC for a bit . . .

I used mine right away today! Cut a few weeds from some plants and cut away some old caulk to redo around our slider door. I'm digging it! Wish I could make a scale swap like yours though

This little guy holding my Manix is from 1690... :D
