Good old Delica :)

Don't carry it often, still will keep it forever.

Had the Salt 2 in pocket for yard work yesterday. A solid user for sure. I might be a little jaded by the Delica, I only have 5 of them... wish I had the cruwear version, but these things keep dropping when the disposable funds have been disposed... I’m in a “no spend January” to try to get right side up after the holidays.

Thanks JuPaul :)

Actually it was just a very quick shot while trailrunning. Barely stopped to take it ;)

I like this knife.

How's it working out for you?

No complaints here so far! Wish I would have tried a hawkbill a long time ago. I've been a fan of wharncliffes for a little while and I'm not sure which I prefer at the moment.

It's been a lot of fun using and discovering this unique blade shape. I've been carrying it exclusively now for a week and so far, I haven't come across any task that would have been easier with a traditional blade shape. I actually like the cutting dynamic of the hawkbill; it tends to pull the material into the blade.
I have also been pleasantly surprised by the performance of the blade steel too. The grind was pretty obtuse but I did some work on it with the CBN rods and the UF rods, and achieved a low level of hair-whittling sharpness. It has stayed very sharp too, and is very quick to come back to peak sharpness using a chrome oxide leather strop.

The more I'm using it, the more I'm starting to like serrated hawkbills. Last night I ordered a Tasman Salt SE. :D

Great to hear! I agree with everything quoted above. Looking forward to seeing your Tasman!
