Carrying the Shaman again. Love this thing. I prefer tip down on the pm2 as I feel the ergos are objectively superior, so I tried it on the Shaman. No luck. Tip up is significantly better. But boy, I gripped the knife when it had no clip at all, and those ergos are absolutely incredible. I also feel that having the clip on the wrong side yields better ergos as well (gripping it left handed). I may look into aftermarket clips.

Hi Turbo,

I am interested: In what ways is the cqi-ed Kapara better than the previous one? Or is it not the cqi but just that you happened to get a "lemon" last time?

I had a Kapara, and it was absolutely perfect fit and finish wise. And a great design, slim in carry and a huge amount of edge for the size.
Plus, though I personally prefer something with more grip, the carbon handle can't be done any better on a production knife imho if one likes cf
