Just searched the Walker on Amazon. Holy smokes that’s an affordable little knife!Vivi wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2019 10:34 pmThanks for the heads up. I can live with that for a backup blade that'll spend more time in a pack then in my hand.
What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Exactly the same here... I want the pliers leatherman offers, especially in wintertime when I carry more technical gear (skibindings, crampons and so on) they come in handy. So my Vic rarely gets carried anymore, though it has a better blade and longer saw than my leathermans.Vivi wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2019 1:25 pmI've got one of those too, it's a great hiking & camping model. These days I usually go with a Leatherman, but sometimes I'll use my one handed trekker for a lighter option.
Funny thing is: In Europe it's called trailmaster, and the blade is partially serrated. Not so in the American version trekker, which is otherwise exsctly the same, right??
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):

The Ouroboros! Got it in yesterday and brought it to work today! Taking a break from the Wharncliffe Dragonfly for a little, was using it as a primary blade at work early this week and ended up with a decent little blister on my index finger.
Have a feeling I'm going to like this one a lot. Having this gets me even more excited for the Parata! :spyder:

Nick, that is one awesome looking knife! Props to you for thinking outside the box and taking a chance. Do you think your finger will adapt to the design, or possibly a design flaw?Mushroom wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2019 5:39 pmThe Ouroboros! Got it in yesterday and brought it to work today! Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Thank you. The shaman is an absolute beast. This is actually my second one now. My first one came to work with me and grew legs. I went out the next day and grabbed this one. Both have been free-droppers right out the box, perfectly centered. It's an amazing knife that I can't be without. I wish I could afford the upgraded one or the sprint. Just ain't in the cards for this guy. I love the base version anywho. Woulda been nice to get my hands on the stonewashed blade but whatever. I honestly can't complain.

Thanks! It's such a unique knife, I'm glad I was able to score one! I'm going to be carrying it for a bit to get a real feel for it.TkoK83Spy wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2019 9:08 pmNick, that is one awesome looking knife! Also, I should have been more clear in my post, my bad! :o I got the blister using the Dragonfly. I think it was a combination of how I was holding it, how thin it is overall, and the jimping that caused a hot spot and eventually a blister. Fortunately, the Ouroboros ergonomics are so different from the Dragonfly that I don't think I'll have the same hot spot issue.
