Cleaned out the pivot, lubed it, and gave it a fresh edge.

First time trying out the diamond sharpmaker rods. Ordered some last week.

Ground the knife at 15 degrees on them for a while, then the mediums, then did a handful of light passes on the whites. Very sharp now, push cuts newsprint with large or small scallops.

Carrying it makes me wonder why I bother with anything else. I'm planning to pick up a back up this summer. Not sure if I'll get another black or satin this time.
