Lol, reading that line, for a moment I thought your account was hacked !

On the zero grind, no need to lust :). It is not really difficult to do it yourself. You need a spare hour, a little bit of patience and a flat coarse stone. :)

Grind on the shoulder where the FFG and the secondary bevel meet, and stay away from the very edge as long as possible. You do not want to apex and create a burr with the coarse stone. Eventually when the FFG and edge blends together, and you can switch to a finer stone to get rid of the coarse grind marks. At this point, de-stress the edge, and sharpen with a micro bevel as normal.

If you value effortless cutting and ease of subsequent sharpening, I cannot recommend this highly enough. For light/medium use knives only though... But beware, once you open that door you cannot close it again, and soon you will want to regrind every factory bevel in your possession! ;)

Brock, all I have for sharpening is a Sharpmaker along with CBN stones. Won't be trying to tackle that task unless I invest in a different set-up...
Maybe I'll mess around with an old VG-10 Delica I have?

They certainly look a nice example of Luke's outfit! There's a modded Dfly high up on my Steve Ketchen future wishlist, also in wood. Pretty sure I'll swap my SB blade into it. How do you like ZDP-189 vs SB?

I had a brg dfly for the longest time until I broke the tip off haha. I like SB uncomparably better, I choose ease of sharpening over the edge holding for my uses ;)
