What angle on the Southard?

I'm waiting for my upgraded arms for the Wicked Edge and was wondering what angle I could take it down to where it would still perform well for an EDC role. I'm thinking 15-16 degrees per side.

Ive used m390, practically the same steel, at 0.007 behind the edge and 10 degrees per side, it held up pretty dang well, i would recommend 12 dps, or what ever the steepest angle is your weps can do

I think mine is about 13-15 per side from the factory. Cuts very well and no issues at all

I do about 26 inclusive on my Southard and it held up very well. It's also one of the easiest knives I have to sharpen. PS. You'll love the new arms even though you have to sell a kidney to buy them.

I have it at about 36 inclusive right now and it's pretty sharp. It will be interesting to see how much sharper it gets with the angle change.

Sharpened mine at 15° per side and it holds very well. I strop it every now and then and it stays nice and sharp :)
