2012. Byrd Cara Cara if you count that, which was quickly followed by a tenacious. Any many, many other have come and gone since...currently own a Southard, 2 x Manix2, Dragonfly G-10.

I bought a Rescue and Endura for myself, and a bunch of Enduras and Delicas for people who worked the same theater crew with me, in 1997. I still have those old Gen-1's with the Aus-8 and molded zytel clips. Just sharpened up the Endura a few weeks ago in fact, still performs great next to all these modern super steels.

I think the first Spyderco I bought was a Tenacious
But my first Spyderco was a Delica clip-it combo edge

1997 IIRC. My buddy had picked up an Endura and I was intrigued by the hole in the blade, so I checked out Spyderco and purchased a Q model for myself.

2000. I was 19 years old and a freshman in college. My first was an aluminum handled Police model. Second was a Snap-It. Third was a Delica III. I haven't stopped since.

Just last year. Grey Delica 4 FFG. Still one if my favorites due to excellent ergos! And like many others, that was just the beginning!

1992. It was a full serrated edge with a built in carabiner clip called the Snap it (I think). I bought it at REI in Sacramento, California. I actually bought 2 of them, but I only know where one of them is at this point.

1985 Native aus 8 steel. black frn. CO made. I knew I wasn't going to buy it but I asked to look at it anyway because it was a Spyderco. It is a mid-lock and I cannot open and close them one handed (My number 1 LAW of folding knives) Yet in messing around with it I found that I could do my one-handed thing and that even though it is a funky looking knife a lot of thought and engineering went into it and I went home with it. Haven't been without a native since.

2005 C41 Native PE BLK. Best purchase I ever made and it took me a year to actually carry it. I was so consumed with other brands in my EDC I didn't even get around to this gem. Glad my eyes were opened.
