Spyderco Angle Gauge

#1

Post by paladin »

A few questions about the Spyderco Angle Gauge:
1. When were they made?
2. How many were made?
3. How much did they sell for originally?
4. Do they ever show up on the secondary market?
( I haven't ever seen any for sale on auction sites)
Thanks in advance to anyone who tries to help educate me on this topic!!!

1. They were released in August 2010 and didn't last too long.

Dang. I wonder why they made so few. They had to know they would sell out fast.

It was just a test to see how useful they were and what kind of user response they'd get.
sal wrote:Please try to keep in mind that this is a test. I would like to know if the tool is effective for you in determining the edge angle. Perhaps another thread on the Spyderco general forum for discussion and sharing of info? We're trying to decide if we should make them. Making them as a regular item is more complex than this test is so any info will help us.

Here's mine for some Spydie p0rn. It really was being at the right place at the right time to get one. Sad they didn't produce more

Also with less charm for the Spyderco fan, but available, is the Richard Kell 625-3000 Brass Bevel Gauge.
