#001?

I thought I read somewhere that Spyderco always keeps the #001 of any special run in-house. There's one right now on eBay(CF Police),but the seller looks like a regular Joe. Any truth that Spydie keeps all of these?

I know that Sal's wife Gail owns #000, and I'm pretty sure that #001 is an "in house" number as well. However, the numbering on the CF Police knives seemed to follow a different logic than either the normal Collectors Club numbers or the numbering used on collaboration models of that era. In theory, any numbers below 200 should have a V suffix, since all versions of the CF Police were "variants" of the original all stainless Police, but that's not the case.

I think Jeff owns 001 ;) so it's not in-house.
