Am I crazy, or did the model that Eric displayed in the Blade HQ video have a fish scale pattern?

And I'm picking one up as soon as they arrive. Cannot wait. :D

Still haven't seen anything on this- tried my best to get a clear photo but it is still a little blurry.

In the GoingGear vid, Eric says the MSRP on the Raffir Chap is $200, which puts MAP at $120, right in line with the CF version which was already a great value (CTS-XHP, beautiful and useful design, great ergos, CF; all for <$120). That makes me think that this FRN version is likely to get below $100, and will be even more a great value. I'm looking forward to this one.

I think the FRN Chap will be a must have and a great EDC.

If I only make one purchase this year, this will be it. Anyone catch a release date?

The sample shown was an SLA. No tooling has been started other than a program so it's still a ways off.

Sway off means it is not dead or canceled, I for my person really hope it will become true for the market. Small thin blade and practically overall shape bundled with lightweight and non-slip handles is in my eyes a combination as would be desirable. Besides this I like combination FRN / wire clip a lot!

Hopefully you got enough positive reactions during the show or will get during future shows.

I assume there was an auto-correct at the end of Sal's post but, separately, what does "SLA" mean? Thanks.

Hi Peter,

Yes, it will happen, just will take longer than it might appear.

Hey Buckthorn,

SLA = Stereo Lihtography apparatus - a type of modeling.
