I saw that too. I just ordered my first Dragonfly2 in black yesterday. I always keep my old AUS-8 Dragonfly handy, and have been holding off on a new one. Will have to get one of these when they're out too. I love orange handles.

I like to se some different colors on some of the older knives. Sometimes a different color
can make a huge difference in the way that you look at a knife. This one looks nice.

Still no mention of the nishijin dragonflys that started stealthily showing up in online stores a few weeks ago, though. Orange is cool - fiber is cooler :D

Yes, as in orange FIBERglass reinforced nylon. :D

I think the Nishijin D'Fly is a distributor exclusive, so it probably won't get a shout out in the Byte email so as to not show favoritism toward any particular distributor.

While I get that, the lack of news about these things makes it pretty hard to find them unless you obsessively check forums all the time. I have been subscribed to Spyderco emails for years, and I had NO IDEA how many knives were released, that I would have bought, if I had known they existed. If they announced ALL of the dealer-exclusives in their emails, there would be no worries about favoritism, and a more informed customer base to boot.

I wish I had the $$ to pickup the nishijin, also hoping the pink d'fly makes it into normal production.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

Pretty. I already have a D'fly, but a handle swap could be rather nice. Yellow isn't exactly my favorite...

Can anyone tell me why I don't get the E-blast? I add my name and email. I check my spam folder and spam blocker. I still don't know why I don't receive them.

Oh, and that D-fly looks mighty nice!

Thanks in advance-

Despite being against Spyderco's warranty, I would expect to see some of these franken-spydie H-1 dragonflys floating around. I am half tempted to get one myself just to make the swap. I would prefer Orange with ZDP.

No idea why, but the same thing happens to me. I've submitted my name and email several times, and have yet to receive an e-blast. Maybe we are in Spyderco's spam folder... :p
