I'll stick with my prediction of 300:

1) No matter what you do, some folks will be pi$$ed off. That feedback has to be taken with a grain of salt.
2) Moderate to higher priced forum knives have sold poorly in the past.
3) the 2009 Forum knife was $65, this one is $150. If this was a Para 2, I'd run 600+ without thinking twice, but for a Native it's tought to tell whether the recent exclusive or longer term forum knife experience is more likely to apply.
4) S110V is a bear to work with. The trouble getting enough production time on the grinders on top of the other uncertainties argues for a smaller run.
Our reason is quite satisfied, in 999 cases out of every 1000 of us, if we can find a few arguments that will do to recite in case our credulity is criticized by someone else. Our faith is faith in someone else's faith, and in the greatest matters this is most the case.

An interesting thought is also that these will likely be sharing production time with the S110V Carbon Fiber Native 5 that is slated for release soon. I wonder what that says about the total number available.

If I could get the labeled forum blade with the CF scales, I'd be a very happy camper.

Eeeee excited. I've been looking at the Native 5 and this is a great example. We'll see what the bank has to say...
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

I hope that there will be more than 300. I know that this will be a hardship for our beloved company, but this is what they do to keep spydernuts happy :)
I think that N5 is hot hot as para2, but it is getting there. It is amazing knife. But I never thought that I will love it that much until I started to EDC it. I always thought that I need 3.5" blade, now i know that I don't as long as I have my Native5.

I knew that you will be with me on Native5, but what take you so long to post. What you were busy with? :) :D :D :D :D
We need this knife now.

This is great news Kristi. Thanks for all the work you and the Spyderco crew did to make this happen! I hope I can get one!

What a beauty! Well worth the wait, in my humble opinion. :D Thank you much, Taz, for keeping us in the loop.

Thanks for making this, it looks like a great knife. Unfortunately, it is out of my price range and basically irreplaceable, so I won't be getting one.
