Nishijin is so pretty....
Yeah, I may have to put some knives up for sale this evening to pay for one of these. That glass fiber and ZDP-198 look like a wicked combo.

It actually isn't CF. It's glass fiber. But still very nice looking :)

Yeah, I know. I'm not one of those who draw a strong line between the two. I like them both, equally.

But I should have been accurate.

Is it the first time that Nishijin and ZDP have been paired together?

These are trickling in at other shops too. Nobody has many in stock, but they are at least showing up. I hope these continue to come in slowly, because it's just not in the cards to buy one at the moment, and I REALLY want one...

I haven't been seeing many or any.

It is supposed to be a run of 700.

I think all Nishijin runs have been paired with VG-10 until this one.

Oops, maybe I shouldn't have been so impatient. I nixed my Nishijin Dfly order yesterday and had them send me a Ti Chaparral instead. It's a win for me either way, but I may regret letting the Dfly go.

Was this ever announced? First time I heard of it was through an email from Howes

Hmmm... What's up with the clip not being the wire version like the others?

Maybe it's a nishijin thing - the R, Lum Chinese, and Cricket have metal clips too.

The Carbon Fiber Dodo has a wire clip, but yeah, glass fiber must be different.

Gosh, I'm a ZDP freak at this point... I actually just bought a DFly BRG from the Shoppe and its coming in tomorrow. BRG collection almost complete, just need Manbug and Delica.

I might use the clip as an "excuse" not to buy because I'm really stretching my dough this year already.

My bad. All those years in the 3rd grade and I still can't keep up with the days of the month. :) I was thinking today was the 18th. :(

I SO get that, Jack. Most days I feel like Wally's comment about Crocodile Dundee: "Doesn't know, doesn't care. Lucky b2stard!" ;)

When I get emails like this one I have to open my calander to see what it's really saying....

I don't see this knife on Spyderco's site catalog yet. Is it a dealer exclusive or sprint? Or is it just not there yet?
