I dare say I can do it faster than that by eliminating the spin/flip part and just pull it out by the handle itself with the zip tie mod opening the blade.

Very clever with the whipping around by the lanyard but in any circumstance where speed counted I would never use such a unreliable, uncontrollable method to draw a knife.

You're supposed to say "Tah-Dah!" at the end.

I just wish there was a cool way like that to deploy my reading glasses :D

But for my pocket knives it's still hard to beat the hole.

It looks really cool.

As David said though a simple wave is faster and more reliable. IMHO,it's always best to assume you have already been hit in the face or are attempting to move/defend/draw at the same time. That way, in the event you get to stand there unscathed the chance of success just goes up.

Almost missed grabbing the handling on the third and fourth attempt. :D

Not as fancy but more reliable IMHO.

One word, RETENTION. If your hands are wet your gonna stab yourself in the leg or the person next to you.

I think he is just having fun like you would with a bali. (The only Russian i speak/understand is nyet :) ) As was mentioned in the real world of quick deployment i would go with a wave.

I tried to film that same sequence but I just got frustrated cause I kept having to dub my mom's voice out every time she called me for dinner. And once I forgot to close it when I put it back in my pocket ... that's never good.

Huh? If you can't retain the knife, how are you gonna stab something?

By flinging it uncontrolled at the end of a rope. You release it at any point other than when you grab it at the end and see what happens.
