Wouter,
Thank you for Hungarian Ethnic Folder video. I like the knife a lot. I think that "you made me buy" again. :)

Thanks but it's all Spyderco's fault. I really just stand there, ask Eric to help make a video, point the camera and push the button. :)

I have been waiting for the ClipiTool to replace my little SAK on my key chain.

I just hope the screwdriver will fit these two computer screws:

Just file it until it fits. I might get one and mod it to fit my glasses screws.

I just got done watching the videos over on YouTube, I don't know why I haven't subscribed until now. Of course I don't spend much time YouTube either. Thanks for the great videos and pictures!

Spyderco 2013 Concept Model Video – Chaparral 3

#31

Post by Mr Blonde »

I saved the Chaparral 3 for the last video I shot at the IWA show. This knife is one of my favorites and Eric Glesser was kind enough to help me shoot this video. Although I have no concrete info, I'm guessing this won't be a cheap knife. I suspect the handle on this Chaparral 3 takes a lot of machining time, and with those close tolerances, it can't be cheap. In my opinion, the stepped titanium pattern is even nicer in persan than in video or pictures. The ergos were great too, no sharp edges where they shouldn't be.

Yep, that was pretty much my feeling when I got to handle this knife for the first time. :)

I got some extra info from Spyderco on this knife. The Serrata will feature a full flat grind in production, not the appleseed grind Eric discusses on this prototype. I added this comment to the video.

Thanks, Mr. Blonde. Below is the reference I was referring to. Hopefully we will hear more later.

Was there a concept model of an unlined FRCP Native 5 at either?

Given that, up to that point, he'd been talking about the new FRCP Native 5, I'm guessing the "Delica 5" reference may have simply been a mistake.
