An FRN Endura MOD idea...

#1

Post by BOOMER52 »

I'm presently working on a few Endura's... one G10 and three FRN models... all of them scale and backspacer jobs. While doing the CAD work for the nested liners I got the idea that there really is no need to adhere strictly to the OEM profile in areas where the operation of the knife is unaffected. So by just a slight alteration of the section aft of the blade lock release I blatantly plagiarized from another BRAND X knife to arrive at what's in the attached pic. I have no idea how it will feel in the hand but I'd really like to machine it!

I'm waiting to see if the customer wants to go forward with this...

Personally the back end looks too wrong, I think you need to block up the front of the handle and mod the blade shape

Yeah... customer didn't like it either. Just some wasted time at the keyboard... no G10 was harmed in the making...! :D
