Bad "Review" Military Video

#1

Post by enduraguy »

I cringed several times watching this. I speak zero ruskee, but the gist seems to translate to vee are dumb arses. The predictable happens around the eight minute mark. Apparently, Russia is a very boring place.

It isn't really a review, just a "hard use" video, it is basically the same as off roading. There are some interesting observations :

-the knife still remains very functional even after pretty extreme conditions

And some interesting questions are are these ideal behavior :

-the lock releases before it breaks

-the tip snaps with no set

If only they had a sledge hammer, a piece of rebar and a bench vise.

I am not gonna waste bandwidth looking at this review as I have my own opinion on the knife.

Even the best quality knife can be destroyed, if you put in enough effort.

And in your case, a best quality knife can be improved even further :)

I am not really sure how did you conclude without knowledge of the language that this is a "Bad "Review" Military". The guy is actually pretty impressed with the knife, at least twice stating that Mily holds better than ZT. He expected to brake the tip and at at the end is recommending to buy.
Your statement about Russia is very boring place even better. Sounds like you have no clue what are you talking about.

It's his knife he bought it, he can do whatever he wants with it.

I enjoyed the test, it was unfortunate that it had to be an orange one and not a common, off the shelf, black G-10 model :D

Agreed. Was entertaining to watch as most of the other similar tests on the interwebs.

I thought it was a good review taking into count they really beat on that knife and it came out very well in the end.

The snapped tip was a no brainer as the Military has a pretty fine tip and it's distal tapered.

Didn't see anything negative in the video....

This was my only negative thought. He seemed to know what he was doing, but I think that still constitutes gross abuse of a cutting instrument. That being said, this reinforces my feelings about choosing a military as a hard use outdoor (folding) knife.

What a brutal beating  It seems the "testers" were appreciating how well the Millie held up.

The video told me that the Millie is one tough SOB ;)

The paramilitary 2 on the other hand surprised me, it failed almost in every test, very weird, I think it might have been a lemon. I have seen the para 2 go through harder testing and immediately after his para failed the spinewack I went to test mine, hit it even harder and it didn't fail at all, no blade play, solid early lock up...
