Another newcomer to the Spyderco forums

Greetings to all. I am a expat currently in SE Asia enjoying retirement. I used to have a Gerber Folding Sportsman I purchased in 1976. Great knife. As luck would have it, that knife walked away during moving. So I picked up a Spyderco Delica 4 and that has become my everyday utility go to knife. The bug bit me for sure because last year I picked up a Para 2, black blade with digicam. I carry both every day.

I still have the bug though and purchased a Southard folder. I love the design and style of that knife. I'm excited to try out the steel. Only bad news is I have to wait until I'm back stateside which is about a month away.

I'm going to need more pockets.

Welcome to the forums.

Yeah I had to convert to wearing jeans with the two extra
front pockets just so I could carry a couple extra knives.

Thanks for all the welcomes. I got a notice last night that my Southard had been delivered. I cannot wait to handle this new knife.

CDO is nice from all accounts. Never been there though. Have fun!

BTW, there's an election Gun(and dangerous weapons) ban in effect at the moment. You might want to be careful about bringing knives along.

I never travel with the big knives. I have a SAK in my ditty bag. Hopefully that won't be a problem but no big loss if they take it. I enjoy CDO. Lots of malls and nice hotels. The place is having a construction boom at the present but then again the whole country seems to be building up.

Back to Spyderco. I have a question re CTS 204p. Any thoughts on this steel and how it sharpens?
