Pingo in its final incarnation. Previously equipped (and posted) with honeycomb and nanocyl scales - now with washers, homemade anodized titanium clip and zircon sandwashed blade

Finish might not be for all, but personally Im very pleased with the result.

Nice job SpyderScout. Is that the same or similar to the C-Tek material?

Tastefully done! Not a bit of it I don't like.

Thank you. The overall look is similar, but I dont know the details of the C-Tek operation.
Here is a description of the handle on my Pingo how ever:

Thanks. Much appreciated.
Its always a fine line; push too far and the final modification might push a knife into ugly territory :)
Im very happy with the knife in its current state. It looks and handles great IMO.
That will of course always be a matter of personal taste and opinion.

that is really so good looking...if that clip were on the other side, I'd buy that in a second.

Thanks for the kind words all :) Much appreciated.

Im a rightie, so found it most natural to have the clip on that side.
I assume you are a leftie, since you'd want it on the other side or it might be because you carry it differently.
I no longer have the option of changing the clip to the other side, but that was by choice.
The huge advantage by modifying the knife, is that you can choose to have it just the way you want and I of course have no use for the clip on the other side, but thats just me.

Yup I'm a lefty. And that is definitely the benefit of modding or having a custom made. That is obviously a knife made specifically for your wants and needs. But I was saying that if that were the way the knife came, and I could get it on the other side, I would get one for sure. It looks great and I think greatly improves the knife. I like the original, but those mods make it just a really good looking knife.

Great final result and a very interesting adventure watching your tutorial. We are honored and humbled that such skilled persons would take the time and extend the efffort to create such art with our products.

Are you going to offer your mods to others?

Reading your initial thread and the process I wondered how long before requests were made for mods can I ask a question ?.
I know the project was done with a friend so cost may not have come into it but considering the time and process is the modification more expensive than the knife itself.
Not that it takes anything away and its relative as its customised so if you decided to sell it I'd expect people would be willing to pay for a unique piece.
Just something that crossed my mind , and would there be a way of reducing the costs I mean its pretty advanced stuff.
