I ordered mine from Howe's. :)

They were listed as collectors, but I'm hoping one of them isn't.

This thread needs some pictures.

Clip wrote:Thanks so much! Just placed an order for both, now they're down to 4 ea. I hedged my bets with KW since I haven't heard anything from their preorders, so I might be ending up with a few extra knives. Not that that's a bad thing...
The best thing about those guys is they're only 2 hours away so with any luck, they'll be in my mailbox tomorrow afternoon.
You welcome.
If NGK would be just couple hours away from me I will drive there at least couple times every years. Huge selection and very nice people, who I would love to meet. Unfortunately, it is about 10 hours for me.

Collector numbers and non-numbered have separate listings, so if you ordered a numbered one, I imagine that's what you're getting. Still an awesome knife with a bit more etch on the blade :D

This is the first time I've ever seen a Calypso in person and was really surprised at the size of this thing. Reading the size on a web page and having the knife in hand are two different things. I noticed the pocket clip screws are Phillips instead of Torx. I guess that's a throwback to the original Calypso. Also love the pivot on this one. Again, looks like it stayed true to the Calypso.

It's a short trip away. The atmosphere in the pharmacy is so small town it's not even funny. You can even sit and have lunch while you stare at the walls of knives behind glass. Mike is a knife guy at heart so he understands. I bet he has to clean the glass twice a day. :D

Got my calypso today! What a knife, definitely a MUST HAVE IMO!!

Here's some pics, apologies in advance for the non-spydie content, but I wanted to show the knife with another to give an idea of size. It really is large!

Thanks. :)

For some reason, I was thinking the "You got it" was in reference to the collector models being non-numbered.

I've been looking...they seem to be going far too fast, far faster than the 3.5s went. So I'm going to have to find the knife and the funds....so any leads?

If you're willing to pay MSRP, SFO still has them. I have done that when my back was against the wall and not regretted it - the auction and BST prices are going to be way higher than that, and very shortly. :(

IIRC somebody mentioned that SFO gives 25% off, also this is one on the bay @ $169 BIN. But probably will be more. In most cases Japanese sprints comes in two or more batches.
