Please use a descriptive title when starting a new thread

The general section is very high traffic. There are a ton of good threads.

Please think about your title carefully. If you want quality discussion it's paramount. That and the boards won't look like a bunch of vague Facebook status updates... ;)

I agree with your point Blake :) I generally skip over the threads with vague titles, although in the past I have been guilty of a vague title or 2 myself ;) This thread is a good nudge to keep folks like me in line ;)

Most of us are guilty at some point. It seems lately there are a few more than usual.

I'm working on typing less. Tiny goals! :D

Totally agree and would like to extend to 1 thread per relevant topic, so before you start a thread please search if it doesn't exist :)

Thanks for the reminder. I was just about to start a thread called "Hey, Sal", asking when the green Para 2 would be out. :D

I am unplugged and have never crossed the Facebook threshold for this reason.

This can be a good way to approach things, but I can admit that sometimes a new post in an older thread can fade away without notice or response. I tried this last week with the Caly Jr. thread and it did receive some response, but quickly died away.

Am I the only one who thinks this thread needs a less descriptive name? :D

Think of a thread title as part of an Index in a research study, published research book.

My favorite examples of this are on other forums with specific sales areas and a thread is titled "For Sale" with no hint of what the item for sale is.

I have seen about a hundred threads just called 'Paramilitary 2'. Are you looking for supply updates? Do you have a question about the optional blade coating? Are you curious about the Compression Lock? Are you looking for the sprint run? Do you have input on its use and carry? Did you see one in a film or show? Are you writing a review about an 80s action film?
