Bladematrix has several variations in stock. (Never ordered from the Web site, but they also run a local shop where I picked one up last time they had some.)

Looks like Howes also has a few left.

Heinnie Haynes in the UK has the digicam satin and digicam dlc currently in stock.

I was literally a minute late for the black satin (went out of stock while I filled out my order, along with the black dlc), so I snagged a digicam satin instead. (My first PM. :) ).

I called Bladematrix and ordered the C81GCMOBK2 Para-Military2. Thanks for the heads up on this, they just received them last week.

A week after I ordered the all-black PM2, it and the satin blade are still in stock at Howes. The digicam versions are gone. Looks like the PM2 shortage is finally easing.

In case you need one for your other pocket, there's a deal at Sierra Trading Post for today only, on the Left Hand Millie for $89.97 -- if you sign up for their deal flyer, etc.

If you jack up your purchase to over $100, you get a $15 gift card. If they base the $100 on the price before coupon, then you wouldn't have to jack it up. I haven't checked on that.

"With your DealFlyer coupon, you save an extra 40%:
Your price: $89.97 ends today at 11:59PM (MT)"
K-390 on hand: Mule Team 17, Police 4 G-10, Endela (burlap micarta), Endela backup, Endura (canvas micarta), Straight Stretch (now blade-swapped with G-10 Stretch), Delica Wharncliffe, Dragonfly Wharncliffe, & Dragonfly Wharncliffe shorty mod
Note to self: Less is more.

Thanks for the headsup!

Edited to Add:

Just got a shipping notice :D

I wonder when demand for these will die down to a normal level, so that if you want one, you can find them in stock at several locations at once?

Preordering is a system that is only as good as the vendor that uses it. Even then it's not great...just better than someone out in left field.

I would far rather deal with Knife Center or Cutlery Shoppe on a preorder basis. It's still a 2 or 3 out of 10 in the ideal way to buy a knife, it' just not a 0 like most others.

Is this the same model as the C81GP2?

http://www.bladematrix.com/SC81GP2-Spyd ... 23481.html

I assume it is, and they have it right now in stock.
