Well I can't tell from the description but you could check this list here and see if it is any of them.

Those were tip-up. Could be the OP has the terms mixed up, though. If that's the case, you need to include the dragonfly and catcherman, and maybe some others I'm forgetting ...

A little tip on the all FRN knives is that most if not all have the name stamped into the scale.
We would rather be the knife in your pocket, because is "works" better, than the knife in your showcase, because it "looks" better.

Exactly. AFAIK, the only ones that don't are the Ladybugs, but they don't have clips either.

Ted, I don't know if it's a fluke or if it happens to others as well, but on my computer the pictures don't appear when I view the http://www.spydiewiki.com/models/ page in Firefox. Works fine in IE and Chrome, but Firefox is what I use 98% of the time.

Hi Bit by,

Welcome to the Spyderco forum.

Hard to tell from the description. Sounds like an early Endura or Delica but for the tip down part. Don't think we ever made a molded clip tip down model.

I missed where he said tip down. :o Could also be a Rescue, I have one of those in AUS-8 with a molded clip.

Does it look anything like this? This is one of the first generation Delicas.
Image
On some of the FRN models, the model name is molded into the non-clip side of the scales.

If the handle looks like the material in Bruceter's post you can read the name of the knife in that circle around the Spyderco Bug logo that is molded into the handle.
