Should we post on sep. 11.?

Just wondering if we should or not.

A lot of you are from the US and a lot of us are from other countrys that also have been in on the conflict/war in Afgahnistan. Would a "nopost day" be a way of showing respect and remember those now gone?

IMO-To continue living our lives is the best way to prove that they can't kill our spirit. I am a firefighter in IL. I was on duty on the 11th and I have never been prouder to be an American. If you want to honor the fallen, teach your children about this country - the good and bad parts. Never forget what was done to our country on that day. sorry about the rambling post!

I agree to continue on. If we stop doing what we're used to doing then the terrorist's have won.

I'm still looking for an American flag to fly on Sept 11. I have a week to find one.

I know crappytire has Canadian flags, but I can't find an American....

I think that the Spirit of "Sept. 11th" will draw us all together as one. Although the attacks on that horrible day was on American ground, it was still an attack on everyone's humanity, and the sanctity of life everywhere...

Please keep posting on, my sharp edged Spydie brethren and sisters!! It's bad enough to have a birthday on 9-11. If y'all don't post, not only do the terrorists have a leg up on us, it will drive me freakin' NUTS!!!!

Post on for the memory of the innocents who perished on that day and their countless brethren who have perished and continue to perish worldwide from terrorism. Post on for those who gave their lives defending anyone's right to live free from any form of terrorism. Post on for those who have served and still serve and fight for the rights and freedoms what we in America often take for granted. Post on in the hope that all who serve return safely, their missions accomplished, to their families and loved ones. Post on in the hopes that some day the breath of terrorism is choked from the collective consciousness of mankind and our differences can be resolved without violence against our fellow man.

Kind of a tall order for the International Order of the Spyder and Forum but y'all get my drift here - let's just be our normal selves and each take a pause to reflect on the events that overwhelmed us on that day and be thankful for what we each have and hold dear today. Bless you all in whatever faith you follow and as an American, to all our friends on the Forum from around the world, thank you for your kind thoughts.

Stay safe! Stay sharp! <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

To all,

I agree with all of your sentiments. We here on this forum reflect what we should hope for some day throughout this world. That is a community sharing, helping, and appreciating each other equally.

Post on bretheren, in freedom forever.

I've put my wee Stars & Stripes flag up in the windae. I got it from my Brother when he stayed in Washington DC from 1992 - 95.

I think that we should continue on living our normal lives. I'm not saying to forget, I would be the first to pause for a moment of silence on that day to remember our fallen countrymen. No matter what I may be doing.

The Stars and Stripes will be flying proudly on that day at my house. Being a truck driver, I also plan on having Old Glory flying high in the window and my truck headlights/foglights at full brightness on this one year anniversary. Terrorists will not deter me from living my life as a proud American. I ask that all of you do the same.

As far as posting here at the <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> forum.....I will be here.

I agree - we should keep posting. This will not be a "normal" day by any means, yet we should all do our best to keep on carrying on...

perhaps we should all make a special effort to post...

In addition to continuing to post, there is an email going around for everyone to drive with their vehicle's lights on, in remembrance of the fallen, on the 11th.

It happens that I'm not American, but that doesn't mean I don't feel for you. What happened a year ago was a tragedy, of course, but so is earthquake, fire, floods aso. IMO, doing the regular tasks shows just the determination to carry on.
