2012 Forum Knife before 2013 ?????

#1

Post by PatCatMan »

Well, it's almost October and no Forum Knife for 2012 yet -
Eric said it was coming at Blade Show in ATL - he acted as if we/forum members might have already known what it is.

Let me guess - it'll be December - when basically all my monies are spent on kids, wife and family for Christmas.

It really would be nice to know a $ amount - so I could stash some cash just for it. I would really like to have a 2012 Forum Knife no matter what the style - but it would make it easier to jar the money if I knew what I was saving for.

What the heck is up - why the big secret on the style and release date?
Is it because you/Spyderco are trying to find a fair way that every one of the forum members can get a chance at atleast one?

Thanks,
Pat

Just sock away about $150 and you'll probably be more than covered when it's announced. I think they already have it worked out on how they are going to do it this time. I believe Kristi said they would let us buy 1 or 2 and see how well it sells then let us buy another. I would imagine it will sell fast. I haven't read her post on this in a while so this may not be that accurate so I suggest searching for the forum knife thread.

"The big secret" is probably that they're not sure about either, and if they even hint at those things, we'll cling to them like grim death. I'm sure a large part of it is that they've been busy pushing out all those production knives we've been clamoring for: green pm2, yo2, tuff etc. Be patient, and it'll be here before you know it. Thank you for not bumping the other Forum Knife thread.

Might pay to remember that, as of today,we are only a couple weeks past the date when the "go live" announcement for the 2009 Forum Native was posted. Given that, I'd say there's still a very good chance we'll see one before the year is out. If we don't, I'm sure it won't be for lack of trying on Spyderco's part, or lack of interest on ours.

It's not even October yet. Plenty of 2012 left, and plenty of other knives to keep us happy until the forum knife is ready.

This is so fake. It even doesn't have a bug on the blade.
I have information. 2012 Forum knife will be S110V Native with stag scales. 100% verified by snoops. Somebody from high-ups leak this info to New York Times.

All I care is that it is underway. If it is delivered March 2013 that's fine with me. I'm looking forward to the surprise.
