I have seen some stuff where the logo was double stamped.

I think they were Surefire flashlights and were being sold as Rare. I don't ever recall seeing or hearing of a Spyderco with this.

I do believe that the Golden plant uses a laser to engrave the logo on the Military. I believe it would take one heck of an accident to get two of them on the same blade.

You can't triple stamp a double stamp!

Actually the 8th is the skunk ape.

It's definitely rare. Whether or not that rarity adds to its value is uncertain. Could be an engraving screw-up that slipped through the cracks, or one that was caught and sold as a second, or something else entirely. Pictures of both sides of the blade would be helpful.

I'm curious how it looks like. Can't wait for any pictures.

Hi Maximas & Ruudr,

Welcome to the Spyderco forum.

Would have to see a pic of the double logo to be able to comment.

Hi Sal,

Thanks. Love beeing on the forum now.
I work also in the knife business. Work for Victorinox. I daily carry a Spyderco (Para 2 or a Delica) and of cource a SAK.
Have to say love the Spidy's a little bit more :-)

Curious how the pic of Maximas looks like.

I'm surprised you don't get chastised for carrying anything other than a SAK at work lol.

As for added value, it's like Paul said, it depends more on the buyer than anything. I have this Disney children's storybook that was bound upside down. I've kept it for years wrapped in plastic because i read years ago that Disney is a real stickler on not letting mistakes like that slip through the crack. Then i read that as far as collectable books go, things like this actually take away value and buyers aren't interested, unless you have someone who specifically has a thing for these kinds of screw ups. In other words, if this were a really rare knife, it might be worth more without the mistake than with it, depending on the buyer it could be considered a flaw to an otherwise perfect knife. The same thing goes for Hot Wheels cars. I have some that are missing wheels, others that are upside down in the packet, some that have paint screw ups, and some that are carded on the wrong cards. They aren't really worth anything except to people who are into collecting the screw ups.
