Old model Endura, Looking for some information!

#1

Post by NHDuckHunter »

I found this knife a couple weeks ago at my state's police surplus store in a tupperware bin full of probably 500 knives- I couldn't pass that up, so I paid the $1.00 for it and out the door I went. While I know its an old model Endura, I was just hoping some of you guys could give me a little better idea as to what the blade steel is and around when it was made, I'm assuming its from sometime in the early 90's. Here are a few pictures. Thanks a lot!

$1.00!!!! Holy cow! I guess I need to check out my states police surplus store! I don't really have any clue of what to say about the information on the knife, but if I had to guess, I would say VG-10 as that is what the current models have...Sorry if I didn't help much, but hey, I tried :)
Wow, $1.00!! Haha, sorry, I'm in shock..
Good luck on getting some good info on your amazing find!

Plastic clip Enduras had two different steels. The Aus-8 ones were clearly marked. If your endura is not marked it is Gingami 1; the steel that the frn UKPKs used to be made from.
