Did anybody hear anything at Blade?
I know there's a lot of new stuff in the pipeline, just wondering if any info slipped under my radar...

no speculation?

no silly call-outs for a compression lock?

shouldn't we have heard some kind of rumor by now?

Hi Mattman,

We're working on one now. Still waiting for the completion of a proto. It's a very difficult model to make so no info yet.

Difficult to make? Must be a full sized BBL (not CBBL) in Snakewood. Cool. I'm in. ;)

Let's not make this to expensive! Sage 4 was right up there.

I have it on good authority that that particular one will be the first to say "S30v ****'s Gate, Pandora" on the blade, but orders will take 6 years to process and shipping will take another 6.

Maybe the next one will be a RIL framelock made entirely of lignum vitae.

Not so sure considering that the Sage line is based upon honoring particular locks and their respective creators.

Now that I've said that, I'm curious as to who initially came up with the Slip Joint mechanism, if that's even possible to determine given its abundant use and age.

If you know it's hard to make that would mean you have decided on a lock. Does "no info yet" mean none at all or just a release timeframe or you don't even want to reveal the lock type you are trying? If it's hard to make maybe the lock type may change. Not asking for info before you're ready to release it, just wasn't really sure what you meant. If you don't want to reveal the lock you are attempting, cool. You know we'd just like to know.

Thanks for all you and the folks at Spyderco do.

Anymore speculation?
