The Contest
Submission Requirements:

2) Image must include a Spyderco product(s) or logo. Any product Spyderco has ever made is fair game. Product can be in mint condition, used and abused, or radically modified. Your submission can be seasonal, retro, traditional, artistic, black and white, color, sepia, comedic or serious. Set your imagination loose, we want to see it all.
Actually, if you read the contest rules, specially the part I just quoted, they are requesting “used and abused” knives. I’m contemplating on whether I should use my one and only dull EDC beater Delica, or one of my pristine knives. My real problem is that I’m good with photography, but suck with creativity. There are some awful good creative entries so far.

Took a day off work to go for a ride on my motorcycle. Never been to this particular wharf before and it was so beautiful I had to take a picture. With my delica of course! :D

A large part of our collective enthusiasm for Spyderco knives, on this forum, is the anticipation for the next new design. Spyderco has always shared new design prototypes with us knifeknuts for feedback before they are finally produced. This knife doesn’t really exist yet, it’s the Brad Southard Flipper prototype that was shown at the 2012 Amsterdam Meet. I was more than happy to take the pictures and share them with my fellow knifeknuts online. Judging from my web statistics, it is the single most anticipated new Spyderco knife for 2013.

Sweet picture of an awesome knife!!

Sweet picture!!

I totally agree on that!! The pre-orders went in a couple of days... But it's logical I was talking to some knifefriend recently and we where discussing what should be in a knife today to be a success. So we put together all the top fashionable features:

- Ti Framelock
- Flipper
- Over-extend feature
- New/exotic steel
- Unique colour
- Innovating design

When I check our list with the Southard, it scores in all the categories. And adding to that that this is the first flipper Spyderco produces there is a lot of anticipation. Must say I pre-oredered 2, defently one as EDC and a safe queen! I wonder who did'n pre-oreder it?
Current EDC: Techno, Squeak, Southard Flipper, Caly 3.5

New Arrivals: Chap3, Domino, Sage 3

2014 Wishlist: Yo2 CF, Deviant Friction, Tatanka, Tusk, Firefly

Oldies Wishlist: Delica CF PE, Civilian CF PE

This knife is one of my favorites to have the precise dimensions, great design, perfect blade, I decided to photograph it on a wood.

I live in the United Kingdom and in my eyes the Titanium UKPK is the best UK legal EDC that you can lay your hands on. Wonderfully functional, flawless to look at and rock solid to boot! I photographed this glass shattering scene to illustrate the sheer strength and beauty of this titanium marvel. And have you ever noticed how shattered glass can remind you of a spider's web? ;)

It was love at first sight. The threedimensional pattern of the Nishijin is awesome and the R instantly became one of my five favourite Spydies.

Great pics everyone, can't wait for the calendar :)

Forum Name: brj
Model: modded/FFG'd Pacific Salt

This FFG Pacific Salt being my summer go-to EDC, the calendar entry was a no-brainer :) . I very much enjoy the thin blade and the maintenance-free particularities of H1 and I simply love the flat profile that allows for unobtrusive carry clipped IWB inside my swimming trunks.
