grease on knives

Hi people,

just wondering if anyone has tried using grease to lubricate their knives?

after trying desperately to loosen the blade on my old endura for the past few weeks, (dipping in HOT water, and opening and closing for a few hours every night), and oiling it with machine oil...and getting no-where, i finally tried using some gear grease last night. the thing has just loosened up like magic! I tried to get some ceramic grease, but all hobby shops were out of stock, so i bought some molybdenum, and tried it out! it worked.

just thought i'd let you know.

It's a touch sloppy for my tastes, hence my prediliction towards simpler machine oils.
