Forum Knife 2013

#1

Post by KardinalSyn »

I thought that if we start to discuss about the 2013 Forum Knife now, it might be released sooner than later.

Share your thoughts on:

Pricing

Availability dates (i.e. first quarter 2013)

How cool a thread this is ;)

This thread can run in parallel to the 2012 forum knife threads.

I hope that the 2012 knife comes out soon.

That's just not nice/fair. I got excited when I clicked on the thread. I keep looking at the 2012 thread and now I see a 2013 thread. That's it I'm not clicking on any forum knife thread until, the next person updates it....

I figured this thread had been started because we weren't going to see a forum knife in 2012. Glad to see I was wrong.

Why? Is this not a legitimate question/post......

Because you are basically trolling with your repeated posts in the other thread, and this thread is just more trolling. You have repeatedly posted teasers in the other thread that imply that you are on the inside of the process. A 2013 forum knife thread is pure fiction, since Spyderco doesn't offfer forum knives more frequently than every few years. You're wasting time and space.

Well, if that's the spirit, those who don't wanna comment can just ignore this thread.

Like I mentioned before, this will be the first time I get a chance to buy a Spyderco forum knife. I hope that it will be one that I like. Can't wait for the update on when this would've available.

If you like Native5, you will like this one too. It will be even better.

Thanks bh49. I have been wanting the Native 4 for a long time. It was discontinued before I started buying Spydies. Good that I did not buy a N5 yet.

And there's a moonglow and CF versions of the Native5 due to come out.

I wonder why the sudden decision to provide so many Native 5 options by Spyderco. This knife is one which I am more inclined to buy than to ignore. However, having so many options does stress me out as I cannot afford to buy all variations.

The last year was the year of Para2, before that Manix2 and Milly just before that. To make 2013 the year of Native5 will be only fair to Native fan. If I will have money only sufficient to buy Native5 variants, I will buy just them. Native5 is on the top of my list.

Do you prefer the 5 over the 4 please and why?

Hard to tell. I carried N4 for about six month rotating with G10 Caly3. I came to realization that I like G10/VG10 Caly3 more and sold N4. I have another one, NIB, but still regret selling the one, which I carried. Native5 feels different in the hand, may be it is little thicker. I never gave this much thoughts.

I don't usually go for scale material KS. What attracts me about the CF N5 is the S110V. :D

The Native5 looks alot like a Sage to me. Aside front the lack of a thumb ramp is it a much different feeling knife?
