This is an exciting knife and I'm eagerly awaiting it, as well. Spyderco is such a great company - think about how many different knives they produce in a year and how many of those are "must haves". It's a pretty amazing percentage for me. Most companies I purchase a few items from and often times my experience is so-so, hit or miss. It's just what production and the modern world has turned into. But with Spyderco I get true craftsmanship and value in very appealing products. It's amazing when you think about it. What a great company.

Just saw the pre-order for this model popup on a large online vendor saying estimated delivery of April. So unless it's April 2013 I would say that is an overly optamistic estimate.

I thought I'd read that it was due in the fall. I guess it doesn't matter a lot whether you (or I) order now or later, since it's a production knife. Oh wait, where are those Yo2s and Para2s and a few other production knives??? :o :D

Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure... than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.

Of course the e-bay listing says it is a folding knife!

Think they really have one?

no worries, just means its about time! Im also REALLY craving a Szabo Folder after handling it at the blade show. Thats a winner right there. If only I could fuse the two and end up with a s90v szabo!

Hah! What a joke, $400 plus $12 shipping....... Other one is reasonable at $330 shipped free. Hopefully Howe's didn't sell too many pre-orders on this and I'm not too far along the list.

Is the Southfork a sprint or production?

If production, I think it would be the first S90V production knife.
