Hey everyone! I just received my first new Spyderco since christmas (money's been tight :/), the Lum Chinese is Nishijin fiber. It's gorgeous, perfectly ground and assembled.
The only strange thing I noticed though, is that on the lock side, the washer is made a Teflon and rather thick, and on the other side it's a thin phosphor-bronze one.
I'm just curious if everyone else's is like this. It makes sense that there would be a thicker washer on the lock side..it's just strange that they are two different materials. It's certainly not a complaint, as the thing is beautifully made. I'm just curious if it's normal.
Lum Chinese--two different washers?

Thanks for the response! I don't mind it, the action is so silky smooth, and I'm not a big stickler for blade centering. As long as the blade runs parallel to the handle which it does.
Absolutely love this knife...the gorgeous Nishijin glass fiber, the almost wharncliffe style blade shape. It is definitely one of my new gentlemanly EDC's.
