I need some advice on what to carry on a trip to Orlando Fl.I don't want to take the Milli because of the size and not knowing the laws there.I am thinking I will go with the GlassHartt engraved Native.Hopefully they will be ready by then(last of Oct)if not the BF G10 Native would be my chioce.FL does not honor TN carry permit so I will be keeping the Kimber in the van,its legal to carry in your car as long as it is in a holster and conceled.

Did you consider the Meerkat? It's small enough to keep a low profile. The Delica would be suitable too IMO.
BTW, is it true that the Native's lock lifts up a few mm when you press the tip of the blade (knife open, of course)?

If you have a Delica, take that one, since its' 3 inch blade should be legal just about everywhere.

Its ture about the Native but its not a problem if you are holding it the way you are supose to.I don't have a Delica right now, thats why I was going with the Native not to big but big enough.

I think I would go with the native. I love every thing about the feel of this knife. If I had a Calypso Jr. (lookin for an FRN PE BTW)I might consider that.

Hmmmmm..... If I had a G10 Native I know I would take that - though I haven't seen the engraved Native yet either. I will though - I got one comming from GlassHartt

As a general rule I've found that in areas I don't know what the carry
laws are ........smaller NON- serrated is a winner. That is usually and easy
sell to an LEO or anyone else as to why you have it. No sping assit, or
butterfly need apply as they won;t get carried. Remember, no matter what
you think it's other peoples impressions that make up the laws. We are
a society of the people, not of the person.

Hey Jeff,

I think you're on the right track: The Military is probably indeed too big for a 'travel' blade, whereas the Native just might clear any carry-laws you might bump into. One word of advice, I wouldn't take your Glasshartt Special along as an EDC. The reason is, if you loose it you'll have a hard time replacing it. I'd take a standard Native, as it would be easier to replace in the event of loss.

Good luck, and have a good time!

Jeff,

Another thing to consider. And I'm speaking from personal experince on this. Since you don't know what is legal carry in Florida you may not want to take a Native. It has a false edge on it and some areas may consider that double-edged. I found out the hard way.
