Create your own Spyderco "Chimera"
I was wondering which features people want to see more of. To answer this, I want you to take a spydie, and imagine changing at least 2 things about it. These things have to be in other Spydercos already and they have to be within reason. GO!

Here are a couple that have been discussed here recently, plus two:
-Lava with G-10 or Textured CF scale, in SE
-G-10 Sprint Jester sized up proportionately by 2x, available in SE
-Vagabond-style FB with 3.5-4" H-1 blade, orange G-10 or FRN handle, and separate sheath--kind of like a mini Aqua Salt.
-G-10 Cat with better blade steel and jimping

Real (midlock) bolster & scales Kiwi with a narrow leaf shaped blade and full flat grind (think Lum Chinese, only narrow and without the spine bevel). If only 2 changes allowed, then either the original version's jigged bone scales, or the CF ones of the last production version. If a third change is ok, then add cocobolo scales like the first Kopa's.

Amen to that. Make a sharnie Delica and i'll buy one.jackburton9807 wrote:Delica/yo2. If you can give a delica a matriarch blade, you can give it a wharncliffe. That may be the last knife I ever buy 5 of.
I'd just like to see more blade variations in other models. How sick would it be to have a wharnie or hawkbill Para 2? I know i know, someone will say "why not just get a Yo 2 or a Superhawk?" and the answer is because i want the exact same handle/lock but with a different blade option.
All SE all the time since 2017

Since the Sage series is all about different locks you might get your knife!1623 wrote:I'd build a Sage with a Compression lock and Natural G10 scales.
I think that's called a Spear Shape, like the Caly 3.5. I like it better than the Kiwi's too.The Deacon wrote:Real (midlock) bolster & scales Kiwi with a narrow leaf shaped blade and full flat grind (think Lum Chinese, only narrow and without the spine bevel).
I'm surprised they haven't made a titanium Para 2 yet, I bet it would sell.phillipsted wrote:Para 2 with titanium scales and an integral compression lock. Like the little brother to the titan Millie.

I want something like the Manix Lightweight but in a more compact package. Maybe a linerless Caly 3 or Delica with a cage ball lock. And I'd put on the classy FRN scales from the Squeak. Last but not least a deep carry clip is a must for me.
