Performance will be about the same, so I'd buy based on price and color.

Where do you plan to buy the 204? I could have sworn they sold out.
So, might as well get the m390.

Yup both statements are true. Not sure about the number of days, but the Orange ones are gone.

I heard the orange ones sold out in like 12 days, where the green ones sold out in like 6-7 days. I am pissed, I missed the orange one but will eventually get one, I hope!

The blue ones are still out there as they are more money than the other ones.

You beat me to it. I was about to say we're talking about the green. I'm not sure how fast it sold out, but it was quick too. I got two oranges and one green (don't love the color).

The blue one is more expensive than the green sold out for, but probably cheaper than a green at secondary market prices or about the same. I would buy based on which you like more. Performance will me similar.

The 204P is not due out until July. It sold out on the sixth day of preorders.

If you need it before July or prefer blue, buy the M390.

As a guess, if the OP didn't pre-order one of the green ones, it'll cost him less, possibly a lot less, to buy one of the blue M390s while they're still available from BBS. The green ones are going to show up at scalpers' premiums when they hit the resale market.

BBS only had a short window that they did a pre-order for the M390 PM2 for over seas buyers, but that closed months ago, OP would have to find a middle man in the US.

I wouldn't expect a premium on the 204P, if the M390 is still available for $180. I can't imagine the 204P going for much more than $160, maybe $170

Wanna bet it won't be over $200? More people like green than blue.

I don't predict the future for a living, but I'd bet you're way too low. The gray 20CP is going for $225-250 on the big auction site. I would guess that the green 204P goes for at least that much, based on equivalent steel performance and more popular G10 color.

They should be very similar if not identical. I recall Ankerson saying Bohler uses one generation newer tech with M390 but I don't know if that will be noticeable.

Your big decisions will include price and color preference.
