Hi Sal,

Thanx for your reply! Should have guessed there are obstacles on that course too...

Still, tooling for longer, pointier blade might boost the sales as that was one of the most often heard complaints with the original design, along the slippines and weight of the steel handle, that is. One can only wish! :)

Most those complaints were probably from people who never
actually owned one.

Sal,

Could you give us more information on the steel type, will it be VG-10 or something else?

Thank you

Hi Dres_x,

Welcome to the Spyderco forum.

We're waiting on a sample at this time. Once we have and approve of a sample, then we can have a better idea of "if" and "when", and the "when" is usually a guess.

Just received a sample in blue G-10. VG-10. Looks nice. We'll show it at SHOT show proto case to get final feedback.

I would love to give feedback. But can't make it to shot show because my boss will shoot me, year end and everything you know.

Can't we get a sneak peak please? If it not breaking any rules or anything.

Worst case scenario, there's always RIT. :D

Very good point. And I'm sure that turning smurf into navy would be extremely easy.

Still, be nice to not need to do that.

I have heard that smurf blue is what they're making prototypes in these days.
