According to Eric and Sal, it's a demand of the us military. They like the design but they don't want the hole
Very glad to see the resurrection of the StreetBowie.

For the record, my original FB04 does not have a hole in it, either.

I, for one, am quite excited for the Foundry; I freaking love that blade shape.

Would it be possible to laser engrave the hole similar to the Spyderco bug emblem?

I mean, don't get all snippy with the military...it just seems a valid loop-hole. Pun completely intended.

Haha, that's a pretty cool idea, and I am surprised that I haven't seen that before.

Just burn a black circle but not a hole through the blade. It could be the outline or filled-in.

For an organization who used to paint shark teeth and stuff on the sides of fighter planes I hardly think their self-esteem would mind a black dot. :p

Don't know where the rumor began that it won't have a hole. Guess you won't be buying one SnooSnoo.

Sal/Ed,

Will the Tuff utilize flat screws in the scales? I see the prototype did not.

Also, what is the philosophy behind the angled blade when locked open?

Any update on the anticipated release date would be appreciated. Dealers are suggesting June...
