Also do keep in mind that most modifications may under the scrutiny of law, make the user out to be menace to society. This is at the extreme end of bad things that could happen.
Not many knives have suitable holes to tie a zip tie except Spyderco knives. I really don't get using zip ties when there is already a unique opening option.
