nice, just did the mod on my new all black Delica4. Blends in nicely with the all black blade and works quite effectively when pulling out of the pocket, very cool!

Used a 4 inch zip tie i had laying around, fits perfect with no slipping. Excellently free mod.

Also do keep in mind that most modifications may under the scrutiny of law, make the user out to be menace to society. This is at the extreme end of bad things that could happen.

Not many knives have suitable holes to tie a zip tie except Spyderco knives. I really don't get using zip ties when there is already a unique opening option.

Thanks for sharing.

I'm too scared to have anything open up in my pocket down there... Haha, very cool mod though.

I was just about to post this.

Lifehacker is a very popular blog, and I hope this will not bring negative attention to Spyderco from all the freedom hating people out there who will most likely read this as well as people who just enjoy modifying their stuff to make it better.

I doubt he will take heat...it's an OLD mod. Also, blades dont open when pressed against a pocket seam.
