This needs to be something totally different and special with G10 handles.

For you guys who get the Spyderco Byte emails, I'd check the one they sent out last night. It includes some VERY important and detailed information about the Forum Knife.

Curse you.. I went and checked my email and the last spyderbyte was from 3/23 and didn't reference the forum knife at all!

At least this post will save others the trouble.

For the love of god could we get a modle!! Not that there is a spydie I don't want but there are a couple that I really would like to have. Mostly anything with S90v or zdp-189, maybe even super blue.

Kristi already told us in her first post that it's a model made in Golden, so I think we can safely rule out Japanese steels like ZDP-189 and Super Blue.

If I was playing the guessing game I would go with a special Dodo. It's made in USA, it's Eric's design, the forumites have been begging for it to come back and they just blew the dust of the old blue prints. But again I could be wrong. H1 Dodo please and don't care if it's seki steel! (Or ATR but that would be dreaming).

Five weeks of speculation, and still no confirmed information about this?

Whatever it is, I'm very curious.

Yep. Once that's decided and released, we start thinking about Forum knife 2013. :D

A long time ago, Sal mentioned that he will consider the production and release of a partucular blade if it was pre-ordered.

I think many here may even like paying in advance of production. I know that I would given certain conditions.

Can't wait TazKristi for more solid info.

Good luck.
She will tease us for weeks before this happen. Did you read the first post? Very typical for her. ;)

It is a great marketing ploy too. Pique up the interest and increase the demand :D and have a good outcome all around. Everyone's a sure winner.

For me, my last purchase from the SFO nearly got me taxed above the actual value of the knife I ordered. Luckily, the customs officer was a good chap and I avoided a major issue.

I understand that Spyderco cant undervalue item prices on customs forms. So I do hope that it's not one of those ultra expensive pieces made in Golden. If it is, total bummer for me. :(

This will be my first forumife (forum+knife and not intended as a pun).

Nothing to do with marketing. This is who Kristi is. She used to spend much more time on the forum and teased us all the time. It is too bad that she is not around much any more.

I am content to wait patiently. Okay, maybe not so patiently. But I will wait, because I know it will be worth it in the end!
