Hi from Ohio

#1

Post by mikeo »

Hi, I ordered my first Spyderco knife yesterday, s Persistence, and joined the forum today. I have several other knives but my EDC is up in the air. I have a Buck Rush 290, a Kershaw Tanto Blur, Buck 110, Old Timer Sharpfinger, Victorinox Swiss Army, Case Trapper, and others. I'm interested in a Delica or Taasman Salt, but I need to wait til next month to order it. I also need to evaluate the Persistence for suitability, but wanted to say Hi. :spyder:

From one Mike to another -- Welcome! :)

It seems like you've got a good taste in cutlery. :) I'm certain you'll love the Persistance. It's a nice little knife. Just a word of warning: be ready to start spending your money like crazy on Spydies that you "just can't live without." It's often referred to as the "Spydie Virus" (amongst other names) and is quite contagious. :D

Cheers,

~Michael

Welcome!
I was an Ohioan for many years, residing in Cincinnati, Columbus and Cleveland. Enjoy the Persistence, and let us know when you're ready for your next Spydie...and the next one...and the next one...

I just movedto KY from the east side of Cincinnati. The Buck Rush is one of my favorite non Spyderco knives, but these days I'd just assume have a thumb hole as I would assisted opening.

Thanks for the welcome. And Spydernut, I'll be prepared for the spydie virus. I know how those things can overpower a person. :spyder:
