Where is the cheapest you can find this knife and are the scales gray because they look almost black?

The one I played with was dark grey.
I'm a little color blind though so I could be wrong.

The scales on mine almost look like british racing green, my color rendition gets weaker as objects get darker.

Yea it's almost a navy. Probably has hues of green in it.
A very pretty color and understated.

Definitely a dark, dark blueish.
It's funny, pictures you see online run the gambit from black to gray to light blue. In person it's dark blue.
Here is a pic that I think is pretty true to the real color. The PPT and the gun are both black, so hopefully that'll give you a little perspective.
FWIW it's a pretty cool color. I dig it.

CutleryShoppe has them for $70. Not sure if it's the cheapest around but as a whole the pricing at CS is outstanding compared to almost anyone out there.
Here is the blade:

EDIT: on a quick search it is cheaper than other large online retailers. They're all in the same neighborhood but this one seems to be on the lower end :) hope it helps

Hmm. I sold mine long ago. It was definitely dark blue as you said but I recall hints of dark green.
It was quite dirty though most of it's life. :p

Mine looks dark grey to me & the specs say the color is "charcoal". I also agree it's a great color for the FRN scales. One of Spyderco's best colors imo.
