Plain edge, much easier to sharpen, and I've found SE cuts rope slightly better, but PE does everything else better.

^ Agreed. A sharp PE is easier to make precise cuts. If your only goal is to separate one item into two, SE all the way. I'll occasionally carry both, but NEVER CE, for me it's a compromise, but then again, I don't have just one knife anymore.

I edc a fully serrated blade.

I never can be sure of what I'm going to cut through from Day to Day.

I can cut through almost anything with a spyderedge knife from thin plastic film to good size tree branches.
My favorite Spyderco is the one I'm carrying now :p

PE all the the way for an edc.. For the above reasons. Especially at work.. If it gets dull, grab a stone and get it sharp again quick..
SE has its place though. CE? I don't own any and have no plans to acquire one.. Like Scottie3000 said: 'It's a compromise.' If you need both, carry both :)

PE also, for very similar reasons.

There are a few things SE does better than PE, but I rarely do any of them and generally know in advance if I'm going to. I do keep a SE bladed Spyderco in my car as an emergency seat belt cutter.

I prefer PE as well for the ease of sharpening.

I carry both PE and SE. If my larger EDC is PE, than my secondary will be SE and vice versa. The only SE Spydies I own---endura, assist, Manix 2, and Dragonfly 2. All of the others are PE. Nothing loOks as good as a shiny hair whittling PE in my opinion :D .

hey guys,
i actually carry all three versions.
my primary edc is always a pe, which changes every day or two.
my secondary edc, a se g10 harpy, is always clipped to my left front pocket.
and i carry a ce ladybug 1 on my keyring.
makes me feel that im prepared for about any cutting chore that may present itself.
later,
don

Generally carry both PE and SE. CE I have almost no use for.
So many knives, so few pockets... :)

Mainly carty PE but I do love to occasionally carry my SE Endura. I know that this will open a can of worms but I believe that a SE is better in a self defense situation. SE will tear through clothes/flesh better. Yeah, yeah never bring a knife to a gun fight.
Just my $0.02.

As far as SD goes..give me a PE any day. Not trying to dog you, Cscoop (or anyone else), but a PE has less chance of catching on the clothing you say SE tears through.. Just my opinion.. :)

Varies per mood/day and per job. Liking SE more everyday though.

Dont own any CE and only would if I wanted a knife that only came in that config. Otherwise my idea of CE is carrying one of each at the same time (PE and SE).

There's a reason scalpels don't have serrations. I like having my SE H1 Ladybug hawk bill on my keys just in case I ever need some teeth but for my primary EDC I go for PE every time.

Yes Evil but people aren't made of cardboard and paracord. We also have nerves :) .

Joking aside you do have a point: It's HARD to beat a screaming sharp PE knife. A dull one however is next to worthless.

I usually have a PE and a smaller SE with me. I find a PE more useful for my needs.

I've found that my SE blades can do everything my PE blades can do.( Except skin game) cuts on my PE blades are a little cleaner.

Wicked sharp PE is my preferred edge configuration. It is easier to sharpen and makes for cleaner work in the kitchen and on the grill. I really want to test drive a SE H1 blade soon to see if it really does hold its edge as long as its claimed to.
