I would suggest getting in contact with Tom.

His work is available for view all over this and many other forums.

Tom Krein is the best
"People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf"

My top choices Natives5, Calys, C83 Persian

wouldn't it be as cheap or cheaper to buy a delica with the ffg and swap blades? You already voided the warranty by a regrind, Just a thought. Unless you plan to change the shape of the blade as well, then that would be a different story.

But for support, I have only heard the guys talk about Tom Krein , but I imagine there are others

I'm not sure if he's still doing regrinds, but Nick Rossi does excellent work as well I hear.

I do not know if its allowed, but how much does it typically cost for a regrind? plus shipping?

I don't know what Tom's charging now, but in 2010 he was charging $35 for a basic regrind plus ~$10 return shipping. Add on another ~$10 for you shipping it to him insured, and you're looking at about $55 round trip. Of course, any crazy grinds you want done, any exceptionally hard to grind materials, or other mods will add to the cost and keep in mind, that was 2010 pricing.

If he's around and willing I would also suggest Brad Southard.

Last I heard (this past September), Brad had a huge backlog of knives to build and had closed his order-book for the foreseeable future.

Looks like there's room for some folks to make an extra dollar or fifty.
