Interesting how tastes differ. I saw that "crayon green" and immediately wished they'd offer it on the Native V. On the other hand, if I never saw foliage green again it would be too soon. It's one of those colors that's depressing to look at.Ken44 wrote:Thanks for the link.
Man, I hope that crayon green isn't going to be what the green Para will look like.
The muted Foliage green looks great, but that crayon green looks like a cheap toy color...IMO anyway.
I'll pass if its that shade of green. Guess I'll go order the brown since I'm wanting to replace my black one, and I guess the green won't be it after all.

If that color rendering on the green para is anywhere close to the actual color, I'm really for that.

I like green on the P2 but then again, I was okay with the last green offerings although I know they were not the favorite of everyone. I look at it like this, don't like it, don't buy it. I really wanted the steel on the new blue P2 but didn't like the color. Same with the blue sage. Was dreaming of its release and then...............slams on brakes.......... that blue. *sigh*. Different strokes ya know.

I noticed that as well. Figured one was a distributer and the other a dealer but not sure on that one.
Nevermind. JNewell got his question answered.

I can say for certain that it is a distributor exclusive commissioned by Blue Ridge Knives. It will be available to any dealer who does business with them.

I'm an admirer of Spyderco's designs. Using them is like immersing yourself in music or studying a painting in a museum. I buy some "fine" art but my preference is for usable art.
I think this page should be taken with a grain of salt with excitement. Asking for any release dates or knocking color combos of custom orders by distributors seems slightly childish.
They shelled out the money, Spyderco wants to offer a glimpse into their crystal ball. They CAN take the page down easily.

No, not liking the green, and stating so does not make my 51 year old self slightly childish. Though it may seem that way to you.Blerv wrote: knocking color combos of custom orders by distributors seems slightly childish.
I hope we can feel free here to offer our opinion without being called childish.
Anyway, I can't help that I have better taste than some of you :p
I'm kiddin!!!, and its not even a little deal, much less a big one.
I didn't like the green, so I ordered 2 of the brown Para's yesterday. No problem at all, and life will continue :p
Well as a mature 51 year old you obviously know we all are entitled to opinions. Apologies if my perceived name calling offended you. I was actually addressing the thread so thanks for being sole recipient of my angst... .
It's really hard people: Buy things or don't.
Ps: "slightly childish" for the record.

Taken, and thanks! I think I was the only one not to like the green, so I though you meant me.Blerv wrote: Apologies if my perceived name calling offended you. I was actually addressing the thread so thanks for being sole recipient of my angst... .

I may be wrong about how the green will look anyway.
I looked again, and noticed the Tenacious had green G-10 also, and it looked great(to me). Looks kinda olive, but a bit darker.
Both it, and the Para are Distributor exclusives for Blue Ridge Knives. So they both may have the same type of green G-1
I noticed the Brown was much darker than in person also, so I'll just have to get one and see for myself before I will really know.
Man, I already have problems deciding what Military I will carry some day's, and now I'll have 4 different colored Para's I'll have to pick from :p
BTW- sorry I was so judgemental about the green yesterday :o
