How come they Dropped this Knife ?

I just bought 2 of the plains and 2 of the serrated from a guy that had a bunch and he told me that spyderco is no longer making this model ? I got them Today in the mail and I think that they are great, the handle feels awesome in your hand.Anyone know about the Native BRK Knife ? I got two of these too and they were ALOT cheaper then the Native. The blade is etched and the Steel is 440A not 440V that they list .Is this the same knife ?Looks good .

LilBrave,

Welcome to land.
I am not 100% but I think the Lum's in Ti were just too expensive to make and not as popular as Spyderco had hoped they would be. There is still a Lum tanto version offered by . It has a G-10 handle, which I think is better for a work knife. About the Native, I don't know. You may have an early production run of the knife.

I found the Ti scales on the Lum rather thin and uncomfortable. Compare them to the grip on a Chris Reeves Sebenza and you will see what I mean.

I recently picked up a Lum w/ G-10 scales and steel liners. A bit thicker, and much more comfortable in my opinion.
