However, if I could only have one it would be the Sage1 without question because it is a bit tougher. Keeping that thought in mind the Gayle Bradley I'd consider in the running but as the Chaparral is a little too small to be my only knife the GB is a little big for EDC with my lifestyle now (retired, not working any more). If I was still working where a tougher knive would be needed it would be the GB without question. As for working the Manix2 w/M4 would be in the running but not as an EDC knife. I would EDC the GB as my only knife.

So, I've thought it through and my final answer is the Sage1.

Thanks, Jack, for your information. It is appreciated. I've summed up all of the favorites on this thread, and that will help a lot. So many nice knives; so many good steels, and so little time and money. Fun, though.

GB -- although in my growing senility I started to question myself as to whether it was a 2011 or 2010...

ParaMilitary2 (I only have the normal camo handled version). It's one cool knife.

For me it's the Squeak. Other strong contenders werd the Des Horn and Lightweight transluscent manix, but they got here too late to go head-to-head with the Squeak for pocket time in 2011.

There have been a lot of great blades to choose from - GB, Caly SB, Lum Tanto, 20CP Para2, etc., etc., but I would have to agree that the Chaparral is the knife that gets the most pocket time. I don't have much need for a hard use knife, and the Chap is gorgeous looking, rides stealthily, slices like a laser, and is easy to maintain! I'm already looking forward to the next iteration!

Para 2 is pretty much the pinnacle of production EDC knife design, IMHO.

My #1 would have to go to the UKPK Lightweight ... it took a while coming but it was worth the wait. At last, a UKPK that is truly affordable by just about anyone ... and it's light and slim! :D

#2 would have to go to the Squeak ... a really lovely knife that I only recently acquired and am hoping to get to know better in time.

#3 is an honorary mention for the Chaparral which, if I could EDC over here, would certainly be one of my favourite pocket knives.
My spydies: Squeak, Tenacious, Terzuola, D'Allara, UKPK CF peel-ply pre-production, UKPK CF smooth pre-production, UKPK G10 orange leaf-blade, UKPK FRN grey drop-point, UKPK FRN maroon leaf-blade, Bug ... all PE blades :)
